Manger (Presence)

December 10
Manger (Presence) by Pastor Nathan Schultz

In the holiday season, we get closer with our church community, families, friends, and coworkers through parties and traditions.  But getting close to one another has its own problems. In this season we are also reminded of the loss we endured in the last year, distance from those we are meant to love, and even rejection from those we count on to stick by us.  Jesus comes close to us in a manger. The story of the manger tells us He does not stay far off, but knows all that troubles us in this season. Today, we find comfort in a God who comes close to us in Jesus Christ.
